Today is Eleonora’s birthday, and even though we don’t usually do anything too big together on this day, I miss the opportunity to do something big. So, С Днем Рождения [Happy Birthday]. I love you.
On the brightest side, El has been approved for her vacation in October. We are looking into the travel arrangements now. Unfortunately I live in a pretty inconvenient part of the country. I am 4 hours from the closest airport (Simferopol), which is a regional airport- making it both expensive and inconvenient. The alternative is to fly in and out of Kiev, which is a 13 hour train ride (each way, I might add). I mean, I say I would walk to the ends of the earth for her- but 26 hours on the train, well that’s just crappy. The funny thing is that it would take her 12 hours to fly to Kiev, so my 13 hour train will take me longer. As for the price, let's just say my train ticket is US $12.50 while her plane fare will be considerably more. I am sure we will figure something out- train or no train. I cannot wait.
