As promised, as we prepared to leave there was some clothing that we brought, mostly to deal with cooler weather, I mean it was below zero at home when we left. Instead of wearing our finest clothing, we packed smart. By this I mean we wore clothes, that while comfortable, are items that wouldn't be out of place in a bag to donate to the local Salvation Army. Clothes that served a purpose to get us here, but as we leave, the temperature is much milder both here and at home and we are now trying to lighten the load in the suitcase especially to make room for some of the things we purchased to cart back to the states. So, today, El and I found our closest clothing donation bin and deposited a few bags of items into it. For the record, I included the sweater I wrote about buying at the second hand store our first week here.
Feeling good that we are leaving a little of ourselves behind in this city that has treated us well.
