Up Before The Sun

Last night while getting ready for bed, El said that she was going to set an alarm for 5:00am as she started to pile her clothes together for a hasty dressing. Having discussed it before, I guessed she was planning to head to the Lungomare (the promenade that snakes along the waterfront) to watch the sunrise. The weather was supposed to cooperate and she checked the interwebs for the official sunrise time at 5:57am. I figured that since the alarm was going to wake me anyway, I might as well make it a group effort. 
We walked to the sea. Photographed the sunrise. Saw some fishing boats coming in from the night. Watched the city begin to wake up. Went to a café for a warm, fresh baked croissant (mine filled with Nutella) and a cappuccino. Home by 7:00am.
I don't think I could've planned a better way to spend a morning when we had to set an alarm.
