Day #11/31: Someone You Talked To Today

DAY #11: SOMEONE YOU TALKED TO TODAY

Everyone has their own mechanisms for getting through life sanely. Whether in decision making, self-motivation, or in justification of how they conduct themselves on a daily basis, everyone has that voice in their head as they think about their next step or reflect on their past. I just tend to be more vocal about it than most. They say that it is OK to have voices in your head until the voices start to answer you. Well, I talk out loud to myself more than I talk to most other people. I can have a full scale conversation trying to decide what to have for dinner. I don’t mean mumbling to myself as I poke around the fridge, but an actual one sided discussion where I vocalize the pros and cons of each choice. I think it helps me to remember things for future reference. That said, with the added challenge of being the only English speaker I may interact on any given day, this helps me to stay sane in a place that can be a bit lonely at times. I can be lonely, but at least I have company.
