Day #29/31: Feet

DAY #29: FEET

Back during our training our language teacher had devised a scavenger hunt for us around the city of Chernigov. It forced us to interact with people in everyday situations in order to get to the finishing line. I remember having to buy something useful in the bazaar for 1 UAH ($.12), get the hours of the post office, find out where to make photocopies, write down a few Ukrainian words, and then the final was to “meet at the Eiffel Tower”. So, now we had to ask people if they knew where the “Eiffel Tower” is. It took us six people laughing at us and saying “Paris, duh”, before we found a young lady that thought there was a French café near the city center that might have a statue in front of it. We had no other choice to check- if only to ask the workers there if they knew where we could find an Eiffel Tower. Sure enough, she was 100% right, just outside of Café Etoille was a small scale Eiffel tower. Being the last stop on the hunt, we sat down and celebrated our win with a hot chocolate. While we waited for everyone to arrive, Patrick, Sara, Noelia, and I got our picture taken at the feet of the Eiffel Tower. Yet another shining example of cluster teamwork.
