Day #8/31: Window

DAY #8: WINDOW

Another recent blog item, this shot highlights my attempt at winterizing my apartment. I was so excited when I finished with that job, I took pictures and blogged about it. It looked like hell, but it was getting the job done. Holding its own against the elements that threatened to blow into the apartment. Oh, did I say threatened? What I meant to say was, elements that were so strong they blew through two panes of windows and dislodged the plastic from underneath the wood slats that were nailed into the frame, thus creating a free flow of ice cold air into the apartment. One evening, the sleeping area of my apartment was 3^oC/37^oF which was low enough to drive me to sleep in the kitchen every night for two consecutive weeks. Come on spring when I can remove this plastic eyesore only to expose the eyesore that is the actual window frame- but at least I will be able to open the door.
